Hi, hello

I can confidently say that food will always be the most interesting thing in the room as far as I’m concerned, no matter what else you put in it. Food - fundamental to human survival, uniting but divisive, the source of wars and revolutions but also the backbone of social connection, domestic life, and cultural expression - will never go out of style, however much that style evolves. We learn about societies from their food, and about individuals by sitting down to eat with them. Who has access to food - and what kind of food, and at what cost to themselves, people or planet - still ultimately underpins the hierarchy of social status, both on a global and local scale.

Here I explore all things food-related, ranging from the mundane to the provocative. Mostly, though, I post simple, easy vegan recipes that get me through the day.
